I have a problem with being covered in sweat when I get nervous. I am about to start my first teaching task this week and I am super nervous. I am sad, because I think that my lessons will be boring, that the kids won’t learn anything or even like me. Im particularly bothered about ending up covered in sweat… Every time I do a practice teaching session, I end up drenching my shirt in sweat. Teaching constantly stresses me out, which makes it worse, and I always end up a sweat mess. I don’t want to be that professor with pit stains in this school, and so I am trying to do everything I can to stop the sweating from happening. I am practicing speaking at home. I am going to dress cool and I am going to open the classroom windows. I wish the school had A/C. If they did I would be all set. I would just turn on the A/C idea and get to teaching. Even if I was nervous, the A/C would keep me cool and the sweat at bay. However, I live up north… Owning A/C is seriously not worth it! Air conditioning in schools is ridiculous! You would only need cooling for a couple weeks of school. But, for my purposes, A/C would be a welcome relief. But since I think it won’t be in the school, I need to find an alternate style of cooling for the classroom. I will literally do anything not to sweat so much.
