We’ve always plugged in area heating systems plus a window cooling system. But I never really felt a need to spend money on central heating and air. That is until Holly was just about 10 months and she started crawling. It was Winter season so, we had the portable heating systems on. I took my attention off of her for 2 minutes when the next thing I know, I’m smelling smoke plus the smoke detector begins going off. I frantically started looking for our child. I found her in just seconds but it felt it might have been hours. She was next to an area heating systems crying. She had knocked the portable furnace over plus the rug was now smoldering. Thankfully, I was capable of handling the situation. However, I started to worry about what could have been. I just can’t ever take that chance not now that Holly is mobile. I told my hubby that we are buying an HVAC system and having it installed. He didn’t object too much but he also wanted a central a/c since we were getting the ducts installed anyway. I hope the whole furnace and cooling system installation won’t disrupt our lives so much. I don’t want walls torn up or anything such as that. But I’m certain the workers are professional plus will do it the right way. The two of us want to be staying in this house a long time to come so there is no reason not to get a Heating & A/C plan installed. The two of us probably would have gotten one sooner or later anyway. Besides, if we do decide to sell the house, this will certainly increase its value, I assume.
