We are fine with all this

Ever have that feeling that you are just doing it wrong?  This feeling can get in your brain and make you question the processes you live by.  I am now even muting the commercials on TV. It’s as though I’m being told how stupid I am for not already owning whatever product is being pitched.  This paradigm spills over to household components as well. I often wonder if I am doing the right thing by all our appliances. I have nothing more than a basic understanding of how stuff works so, perhaps I am be missing something.  As usual, the internet comes to the rescue. I spent an hour or more getting a relative consensus on what to be wary of concerning the boiler and air conditioning system. First on the list is neglecting the air filter. The air conditioning filter should be changed each month.  This is the way the air conditioner breathes so, it needs respected replacements. The air flow theme continues. Be particular all of the ductwork vents and returns are open and unplugged by toys, plants or furniture. Another large no no is the misuse of the temperature control.  Come up with a temperature range and stick to it. Starting and stopping the boiler and air conditioning not only eats energy but, it puts added strain on the central heater and AC system. A good way to prevent the temperature control from getting jerked all over the map is the smart temperature control.  Not only will it consistently and efficiently regulate the temperature in the house, it will stop the temp dial overuse through programming. Most pressingly, though, is being sure the boiler and air conditioning method is receiving the seasonal repair it needs. The preventive repair needs to happen a minimum of twice each year.  Having compiled this little list, I believe I can be so much better about what I can do for our gas boiler and air conditioning longevity. And, I’m less worried that I’m doing it wrong.
