Trying not to have overtime service charges

It was a little annoying that we’d suffered the heat for so long when the service was so simple

When our air conditioner quit in the middle of the night, I should have called for repairs instantly, but i was unwilling to pay the higher price for service outside of official company hours, however, since this was at the start of a holiday weekend, our family was left separate from a/c for several days, but the outside temperature climbed into the nineties every single afternoon, with high humidity and not a hint of a breeze; My family bitterly complained about our hot and sticky house, knowing how luxurious the air conditioner service would be, I simply encouraged everybody to open their windows and run some fans. My wife was actually unhappy about the pollen, dust, bugs and exhaust fumes that managed to come in through the screens… Plus, there was condensate running down the windows and some issues with mold growth on the sills. I called for an appointment as soon as the local Heating and Air Conditioning corporation was open for business… Unfortunately, a lot of people apparently had the same method and I couldn’t get an appointment for a service for several more days; By the time the Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman finally showed up, every one of us were desperate for a/c. It took the guy about more than nine hours to clean the dust out of the inner workings and get the air conditioner started again. It was a little annoying that we’d suffered the heat for so long when the service was so simple. I actually saved some money by avoiding overtime service and waiting for an appointment, but I’m not sure if it was worth it.
