My wife & I got married 5 years ago; Shortly after our ceremony, every one of us moved into an house while every one of us looked for the perfect home. Both of us expected to be in this house temporarily. Both of us signed a lease for only three weeks. Little did every one of us know, finding the perfect beach home would take much longer. Both of us ended up staying in that house for two years. It was worth it in the end. My wife & I had a really particular list of things every one of us wanted in our home, which delayed the process a bit. For example, every one of us wanted a beach home that was built in the early 1900s with a really victorian look, however every one of us weren’t willing to do a lot of work on the house. One thing every one of us were willing to work on was the heating & cooling system. In fact, our wife wanted to completely substitute the heating & cooling system. After finding our dream home, the first thing every one of us did was call a heating & cooling consultant. My wife’s particular requests on the substitute delayed completion & therefore delayed our move. She initially wanted a smart thermostat. The heating & cooling specialist started working on our home, however part way through, our wife decided she also wanted radiant floors. This further delayed completion by a few weeks because this was a major substitute. It required them to install pipes underneath the floorboards. It was discouraging, even though I knew our wife was making the best decisions for us. Anyway, in the end, it was all worth it. Both of us ended up with our dream home.
