Ever since I was little, I was fascinated by anything that ran by technology. I had to have my game boy at first and then it was the RMC helicopters. I guess it isn’t any wonder that I ended up being a technology maintenance specialist for the local municipality. It is my job to make sure the municipal building runs without any failures. I keep the lighting, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, running smoothly. My job is quite simple because it is set up to almost run themselves do to the automated system that is installed. About the only real reason they need me, is in case there is a system failure, or a power outage. The town ran out of money for their budget on building maintenance. They were going to put in an automated generator, but it never came to fruition. Someone needs to be be available to make sure there is fuel in the generator and that it is turned on in the case of a power outage. I know that it would be so much simpler if they would just make the generated automated. They could use natural gas, and set it up to turn on the generator the second the power went out. I keep telling the town board of directors that this would save them a lot of money. I also like the idea of being with my family, but I don’t think they are listening to my reasoning on having an automated generator. It seems to me it would be a no-brainer, but they are only looking at the cost.
