My hubby and I are currently living down South! Both of us really have been traveling in our fifth wheel for over two years now. Then a couple of weeks ago, we were involved in a small accident on the road… There wasn’t much destruction done, however for some reason or another our insurance didn’t want to cover it. Both of us fought them in court about it, and eventually, they agreed to pay for the damage done, however that whole incident sort of wore my hubby out. He needed a break. Both of us decided to take some time off traveling and visit family down South for about two weeks. The temperatures have been in the upper nineties the entire time that we’ve been here, but even though it’s super hot, I did find out that setting my cooling system lower to try and get some relief was not the best idea. Our fifth wheel heats up very suddenly, plus our cooling system has trouble keeping up with the temperatures. Both of us have always kept our cooling system on medium, and the coldest setting possible… It was very hot one night with high humidity, and I just couldn’t sleep because I was too hot. I decided to turn the cooling system on high instead of medium to see if it would help. I went back to bed and suddenly fell asleep! My hubby and I both woke up truly freezing about three hours later. I couldn’t believe how freezing our camper had gotten. I learned my lesson the tough way, plus lost a couple hours of sleep over it. I’m not sure which was worse being too hot or being too cold.
