My Mom constantly told me I would never amount to anything, however our mom constantly told me he knew I could become whatever I wanted to. I am not sure which one helped me more, to be tolerable with you. My mother made me recognize loved, however Mom made me recognize like I had something to prove. Perhaps making himself the “bad guy” so to speak spurred me on to greater success than I otherwise would have had. It’s strenuous to say, however between the many of them they enabled me to be the best I could be. Even though I never did really well in school, I excelled in evening classes for our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C certification exam. I managed to pass that exam with flying colors, and land a work with a heating and cooling company the really next week. My Mom still wasn’t impressed, even though I was making more as an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech then he did in his entire work as a truck driver. This kept me striving for greater and greater success, until one day I found myself as the co-owner of our own Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contracting business. I surprised our mom on his birthday with a current central a/c for his house, and our Mom still scoffed. At this point, I realized that our success in the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C industry had given me the confidence to not care if he approved or not. Not only was I skilled enough to repair or upgrade any air conditioning or heating system on the market, but I was supporting our own family, plus his.
