There really wasn’t much to do after that

When it comes to saving money wherever you can manage, I’ve found that you have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone to absolutely find the true savings. When I say “out”, I mean absolutely far out there! A few of the things I do to save money might seem entirely nuts, however most energy saving tips will ask you to suffer for the sake of saving a bit of money. There’s the simple tricks that are extremely effective, however can make you feel especially uneasy, such as getting used to running the temperature control various degrees higher or lower than you’d really like while in the Summer or Winter time respectively. I had a strenuous time getting used to the dwelling being set to around 60 degrees over the Winter season here, but I just put on a jacket plus made sure to dress incredibly warm, even when I went to sleep… Doing that in the Summer time season was far more challenging, as teaching myself to live in a house that was roughly eighty degrees indoors made me frustrated! However, I did learn that using a floor fan helped quite a bit with cooling down the dwelling while the temperature control was set to such a hot setting. Another lesser known energy savings tip would be to use LED light bulbs in place of incandescent bulbs. It may sound like nothing much, however using LED light bulbs removes a major contributor to excess heat inside of a dwelling. In the winter, just switch back to the incandescent bulbs – they’ll help generate more heat for the dwelling. These small energy savings tips can absolutely make an overwhelming difference if you stick to them throughout the Summer plus Winter time!
