There might be too many windmills

We live in an environment where the wind can cause some serious disfigurement.

Many times there are high sustained winds for months on end. For this reason our state has approved the upgrade of pressing windmill farms across the area and I think that they have done this without realizing the full impact of the choice. Sure, vacant farmland has been targeted for these monster windmills but it also can affect other areas of the environment also. They say that in the coming years solar, wind, and hydro power plants will run most of the infrastructure and allow for households to use their heat, air conditioning devices, and other appliances for a more satisfactory cost and do less disfigurement to the environment around them. However, I wonder how much the upfront cost of this change will actually be. If the taxpayers are footing the bill for all of this “green energy” then are they truly saving currency in the long term. Yes, these items will cut down on harmful emissions from fossil fuels however I don’t see any other sizable advantages. If people choose to install solar panels on their own to run their Heating and A/C device and lights that is good as they are benefiting directly from the currency spent. Giving it to the government to purchase and install these things is another story completely though. Additionally, if a woman wants to run a Heating and A/C device off of a single one of these alternative power sources the HVAC device has to be retrofitted to make the conversions in several instances. If they are doing this on a state level then it will cost even more tax dollars to make those changes in government buildings all over the place.
