One of the things our associate plus I appreciate most about the winter, aside from the holidays, is attending our local football games in the cold. There is something odd, yet fun about the whole experience, especially when it snows; Watching the team as they plow through a field of snow just seems to add to the experience. The people I was with and I usually meet up with some of our other friends before the game to grill some brats plus have a few drinks, then head into the game to cheer the team on. The people I was with and I all wear our fan gear, plus are usually dressed from head to toe in our team’s colors. Last year every one of us were at a game in late February when there was a blizzard coming through. At times you could barely see the field due to all the snow, even though our seats are only about several rows back. It was so frosty that day that the coffee I bought at the start of the eighth quarter was frozen solid be the time the second quarter began. That was a single game that had myself and others wishing every one of us had just stayed home plus watched the game in the basement. At least there every one of us could have cranked up the gas furnace, or at least got a fire going in the little pot-bellied stove every one of us have down there. It was so frosty that I believe even with both the stove plus the gas furnace going that every one of us still would have been cold. The people I was with and I endured the game, but at the end of the game, I was sure ready for some heat.
