As I transition into our new home, I can’t help feeling a bit overwhelmed. I will be the only adult in the house, responsible for the mortgage check. As a divorcee with 2 small kids with an absent mother, it is all up to me to supply a great condo for our family. We had an inspection before closing on the condo of course. However, when you start entirely using the home, problems become more apparent. Like the stove that only works periodically. Or the central air conditioning that turns itself off, even though I’ve not been someplace near the temperature control. While unpacking today, I observed the warmth in the house. I went to the temperature control to check the temperature, as well as it was much hotter than what I had set the temperature control for. I know that I did not set the cooling system at 78 degrees. However, I adjusted the temperature control back down again so that I could continue working. I know our kids didn’t change the temperature control setting because they would not have been able to reach it, even with a chair. Thankfully, I can hear the cooling system come on right after I adjusted the temperature control, as well as I went back to unpacking. Maybe a half hour or so later, I realized that the room I was working in was stuffy, as well as lacked any great indoor air quality. So once again, I checked the temperature control only to read that it was up to a sweltering 78 degrees! Now I know for sure that our cooling system is not working well!
