My condo operated efficiently for years without a familiar heating in addition to cooling system, and however, I recently installed a split duct plan in my home with smart thermostat technology… I have more than two girls in addition to it’s just easier to let them set their own temperature preferences for their bedrooms. Then there was constantly 1 child complaining of being too hot while the other was bundling up in blankets when I had central heating in addition to cooling! Even though I still have control of the shared spaces, I didn’t guess there was any harm in letting them control their bedrooms. However, what I didn’t realize is how much drama this would cause between the girls… One of my kids thought it would be funny to play a prank on his sisters. He figured out how to access the controls for the other rooms on his smart thermostat app. He decided to make 1 sister’s room extremely hot in addition to the other sister’s room extremely cold; this led to both sisters waking up furious in addition to uncomfortable in the middle of the night! In turn, it woke up my spouse in addition to I. When both of us heard screaming, we came rushing out of our bedroom! However it was just the girls arguing over my son’s prank. Then occasionally girls cannot handle being trusted with technology. While I still enjoy our split duct system, I had to take full control over the thermostat. If the girls want their room temperature adjusted, they have to come through myself and others first. This limits how much they are toying with the temperature settings, apparently in addition to also how much they are toying with each other! Although, it is a little bit of a hassle for me. All in all, I’m still glad both of us switched to the split duct plan because both of us save money on utilities.
