Everyone has their own personal story of a “disaster date.” However, I easily guess that mine takes the cake. This was my first date ever. I decided to take my date out on a Monday night to 1 of the most popular diners in town. I had to call several afternoons in advance just to get two spots! The diner was a hibachi place. Our two seats were deluxe spots where they cook the food in front of you on a grill! My date had never been there, plus was super excited! When both of us walked into the diner, I was hit with a wave of heat. They either had there heating heating systems at full blast, or their cooling system system was malfunctioning. The heating only intensified when both of us got to our seats in front of the grill. This grill was so sizzling it was love a heating heating system. In hindsight, it was a poor idea to wear a dress shirt. I was perspiring profusely. I was so hot I was too disoriented to ask my date if she was enjoying her food, or anything at all for that matter; Halfway into our meal, I had to excuse myself to go find a finally working cooling system unit. I walked back to the home office section where they had the cooling device at full power to keep all of the meat plus vegetables fresh. I was cheerful the Heating plus A/C specialist had done his task. After cooling off for a while I finally returned to my date at the table… Unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found. On the bright side, I had plenty of leftovers that night.
