When I heard that my favorite band from middle school and high school were coming to town, I decided to call some old buddies up and form a group to go see them at a smaller concert hall located downtown. It wasn’t a very big venue but it would be sufficient for us no matter how large the crowds were. On the night of the concert, my friends and I met each other at a bar not far from the concert venue. We enjoyed a couple drinks and spoke about the old days, then headed off to appreciate a nice evening with old familiar songs! When we got there, I quickly noticed that the temperature inside was undoubtedly warm. I recalled seeing a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioner van parked in front of the building before we came in. Everyone seemed to have a grievance about the humid conditions. I overheard the owner of the venue talking to some people about how the A/C component had stopped operating just a few hours before the concert. The owner assured everyone that it would be repaired and any minute now it would begin to get cooler. My friends and I took our seats and waited with great expectation for our band to start. The temperature in the room was stifling and right before the concert started, I felt a slight breeze of cool air! Then it occurred again and then again. When the band finally took the stage, one of the first things they said was that we should all give thanks to the HVAC men who made this concert more comfortable. Everyone in the arena cheered. I wondered if the HVAC men were still in the area and had heard their appreciation.
