Just about everything these afternoons seems to be connected. Connected in the sense that there is someway that it can be controlled by the internet… As a salesman for a local appliance store, it is important that I understand this new technology inside and out. I had the choice to attend the annual technology trade show this year and I was blown away by the possibilities; What certainly got myself and others was how the diagnostics on these new appliances could be done. You don’t even have to have a professional come to the home for the most area to see what is wrong with your refrigerator, stove, washer, or even your Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. These units can be tested, in numerous cases but remotely connected them to your WIFI system. If there are physical repairs that need to be done, a professional can come to your home with the parts needed instead of checking it, ordering the parts, and then coming back to do the repairs. This is awesome because people are tied up and don’t regularly have the time for numerous appointments. I now go into sales calls with this in mind. I swiftly assess my clients and determine if I should go high tech or traditional in my sales pitch. It is good to be able to offer exactly what they are looking for. Younger clients, in certain, want everything to be self-explanatory to operate and program. They don’t want to have the hassle of checking things on a yearly basis or remembering when to call for service. A programmable appliance or Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan is perfect for their lifestyles.
