The foul scent with our air filters

My roommate Alex is obsessed with the scent of lavender. Everything all of us use has to have the stink of lavender, then our dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener all stink appreciate it. When our Heating and Air Conditioning plan needed a new air filter all of us found that there were scented options. Alex found lavender scented air filters and obtained the store out. I can tell you from experience that scented air filters are a mistake. The lavender scent was pleasant on the first few afternoons of use. As the Heating and Air Conditioning would run you would get a hint of the flower stink. It was classy, nice and subtle. As dust got into the Heating and Air Conditioning system, the scent started to change. The stink turned into outdated lavender and then turned into a absolutely stinky grime stink. The air filters are meant to stay in the Heating and Air Conditioning device for a week. You then get to upgrade with new. By more than one weeks the scented air filter made our whole lake house reek. Alex just wants to upgrade the air filter every more than one weeks and keep using the lavender a singles. We are not made of currency. I also know it is stupid to upgrade the air filter earlier than correct just to have a scent. I am letting my roommate use up all the scented a singles. Then all of us are going back to the proper Heating and Air Conditioning filter that has no scent and can be upgraded  yearly; Maybe I could buy a lavender candle or air freshener to cheer Alex up afterwards. No matter what though, I can’t live with that horrible stink.
