My cousin Terry bought us concert tickets for tonight and I am totally beyond stoked for it! It’s our absolute favorite band; they are playing outside on a stage next to the lake so it should be honestly amazing, and I mean, they are amazing no matter where I hear them play, however hearing them live outside by a lake at sunset should be the best yet! The only thing I’m honestly anxious about tonight is the temperature, and the weather has been honestly tepid around here recently – this month is no exception at all. The temperature was in the high 80s all day, plus it’s barely started to cool off and it’s only about an hour or so until the concert. I’m hoping that my cousin and I can stay in the vehicle in the cool A/C for as long as possible, however we’re still going to have to walk pretty far to get to the outside stage. I’m honestly hoping that there’s some shaded trees around there someplace, or even better, that there’s a couple of big tents with some portable A/C units blowing cool air around inside of them! I adore outdoor concerts. It seems love songs just consistently sounds better when you’re outside in the fresh air, but I love outdoor festivals best in the fall when the high temperatures outside start to cool off plus you’re not quite so dependent on A/C. I would almost rather it be too chilly outside than too hot. That way the festival coordinators could put out little area furnaces plus fireplaces in order to keep all the people warm.
