My husband really wants to get heated floors for the office in the house. He wants to see if we like the heated floors or are they not any better than our boiler. I know what my husband is doing. He is trying to trick me into buying heated flooring just for him. The office is only used by my husband for work. The only time I go in there is to clean and pick up the dirty dishes. He has complained that he is so stationary at work. Due to this, he gets really cold and wants more heater access. Being the furthest room from the boiler, the office is always quiet cold too. I get it, radiant flooring would be great for that room. But, if we are going to try radiant heat for the first time, I want a room we both use. That is why I am pushing trying hydronic heating in our bathroom. We already have the boiler system. All we need to do is hook up piping to the boiler and have it installed within the bathroom tile. It won’t be too expensive since it is so small. Also, having heated floors in the bathroom would rock. Late at night, the tile gets quite cold. I hate going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Showering first thing in the morning is downright painful when you touch the tiles. I think heated flooring would be a great addition to that room and a good space to try it out. My husband is still trying to get his way though.
