Symptoms of radon gas

Finally, I have retired after thirty incredibly long years of hard work at my place of employment. It is time to get out of here. I am moving out of this frozen tundra and heading for a warmer climate. For some time now I have noticed that the Winters up here in the North are dragging on me more every year. Every year seems to feel a little more bitter and takes that much more out of me… So instead of waiting for the icy Winter months to take me into an early grave, I’m going to load up the van and head down south… Of course, I have to sell our condo before anything else, which is proving to be more of a hassle than I expected. This is particularly the case since I had an inspector do a walkthrough and they discovered that our radon gas levels are really on the high side. This is totally disconcerting for a couple reasons. First, it means that my fiance and I have been breathing in a great deal of cancer-causing gas for a while now, but also, now I have to do a bunch of renovations before anyone will buy this dwelling. I have to find where the crack is in the foundation that is letting the radon in to seal it. That is so much easier said than done. I have looked around downstairs and haven’t found anything that looks like a crack or hole in the foundation. Still, there is radon around so there must be a crack someplace in the dwelling. Hopefully, I can locate the crack and that will be the end of it because I don’t want to put any more currency into this than I have to.
