Scrubbing my A/C blades

Sometimes I get way too into cleaning. If I think I can get a stain out of shirt, I am an insane woman with scrubbing it. I mop and scrub my floor by hand to get it to shine. My car is so spotless you could eat off the floor. This trait usually is a good quality, but the other day it really came back to bite me. I decided that the next item in the house that needed cleaning was my AC system. The air conditioner can get really dirt in many different places. There is the condensate drain that always gets jammed up with algae. Your cooling coil can have mildew, mold and fungi growing on it. The air filter every month gets clogged up with tons of dust and hair. The part I really went to town on was the fan blades though. My air conditioner fan was disgusting. The blades had a black tint to it due to the dust. So I took out my best cleaning products, grabbed onto the blade, and scrubbed as hard as I could. I got the fan to be totally spotless. I then took a step back to admire my handiwork and realized I messed up my AC system. The fan blades were all bent at weird angles. I bent them with my cleaning! I researched online about this and I now have to get a new fan. The blades are really fragile, and if you run the AC with a bad fan, then the cooling system really gets wrecked.
