As a professional, I don’t care for when clients say they can find something for a cheaper price and assume I don’t consider their best interest.
I’ve been an Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman for 15 years, and I like what I do, then i fell into the Heating and Air Conditioning industry in a weird way, then after graduating high school, I didn’t want to enroll in a large university love all our friends. Instead, our mom encouraged myself and others to try a technical school for at least a year before accepting any full time tasks locally, but with sheer randomness, I enrolled in the heating and air courses, although I didn’t anticipate easily liking it… Now, here I am all these years later and I can’t imagine being anywhere else. Although I like being a certified Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman, there are days that are actually hard! For example, Last yearI was at a client’s apartment performing a weekly repair request. While I was examining his Heating and Air Conditioning equipment, I noticed a small section was missing and it needed repaired. If it wasn’t repaired, his Heating and Air Conditioning equipment would lose efficiency over time and it could cause bigger issues. When I told him this, he asked myself and others how much it was going to cost. After telling him the price, he lashed out and accused myself and others of scamming him, then he said he could find the section much cheaper online and repair it on his own. As a professional, I don’t care for when clients say they can find something for a cheaper price and assume I don’t consider their best interest. I left feeling angry. A month later, the same patron called myself and others back asking for myself and others to order the replacement. I recognize he couldn’t find a cheaper price after all.
