Patio season is extended with heaters

The time has finally come that everyone has been waiting for.

For the past three or four months, everyone in my city has been complaining about the heat and humidity.

They have been saying it was the hottest and longest summer ever. They have been crying everyday about sweating and operating their central air conditioning units 24/7. I’ve heard nothing but non stop bitching about the summertime air in our local climate. Well, they air certainly shifted. In the past two weeks our outdoor air temperature dropped extremely drastically. We are immediately in the fall season, after such a delayed Summer. Personally, I’m happy about it. However, most of those same people who were complaining about the high heat and humidity are now complaining about the low air temperature and dank air. They drive me absolutely insane. Suddenly, everyone is panicking that there is an end to patio season in sight. People are freaking out about having to eat and drink inside, as if that doesn’t happen every year. Personally, I think that we have several more weeks of patio weather available to us. Most of the heat loving restaurant owners in this city have purchased outdoor patio heaters to extend the utility of their eating spaces. If they’re smart, they will get those high-powered overhead heating systems in place and toasty warm ASAP. They really need to advertise about having a heated patio space, and force people to get the alternative heating methods to try. Otherwise, I think everyone is going to be heading home and hunkering down in their central heating forced air furnaces.
