May have lied about being a former HVAC tech

For as long as I can remember I have been single. It’s been at least 10 years since I have been wowed by another human being or attempted a real romantic relationship. Maybe that’s why I found myself so nervous when I signed up for an online dating app. Honestly, I didn’t expect that I was going to meet anybody who caught my attention. When a beautiful young woman actually had a lot of interesting things to say, I admit that I got a bit overwhelmed. That’s what I made a massive mistake that I’m not sure how to correct. I accidentally told the woman that I used to be a professional heating, cooling, and air quality control technician. Don’t get me wrong, I know a thing or two about air conditioning units and forced air furnaces… Mostly, how to change my thermostat and swap out an air filter from time to time. Other than that, I don’t know the first thing when it comes to indoor air temperature or air quality control devices. I can honestly say that I am not a handy person and I should not be trusted around expensive air handling equipment in my own home or anybody else’s. That being said, now I have quite a heating and cooling conundrum to deal with. Whenever I see my new boo boo, she starts asking me questions about indoor air quality control and energy-efficient HVAC upgrades. I do my best to answer her heating and cooling questions, but I think she’s going to catch on to the fact that I am HVAC unaware. All she needs to do is check my Google history to see the number of times I research air quality control systems before I answer her.
