Last month, I bought a new house that was old. I know you are confused. But the house was new to me, but was pretty old. There were a myriad of repairs to be done when I got the house. In total, some windows to be replaced, some screens repaired, some doors fixed. But the most important thing thing that required a complete replacement instead of repair was the home’s heating and cooling system. The HVAC system in the home was on its way out. Very old-fashioned, very worn out, and it sounded horrible when it ran. Not to mention, it did not even heat or cool the home sufficiently. You see, the compressor would kick on, then it would make a disturbing rattling sound, and then nothing would be coming out of the HVAC ductwork at all! So, naturally, I right away called the local HVAC repairman out to take a look. When he arrived, he informed me right away that the whole heating and cooling system was done for. We spent a lot of money to do it, but we needed it replaced. We even upgraded its features to include an air purification system as well as a whole-home humidifier along with the normal HVAC stuff. It was definitely the best investment we made into this new/old house! We are happier sleeping at night and it’s very comfy all the time. Praise the miracle of modern HVAC technology! It’s a godsend.
