I’m trying to avoid a problem

Did you ever have to go away to camp back when you were a little kid? I did… I never enjoyed going to sleepaway camp, but my parents thought that it was relaxing for me. So I pretty much ended up going just about every Summer to this godforsaken locale deep in the woods in the absolute middle of nowhere. I will easily admit that it was pretty and pristine. It was on a clear mountain lake surrounded by a bunch of mountains and fir trees. If you had the desire to get close to nature, then this was the best possible place to be. I honestly had no desire or intention of getting close to nature though. I just wanted to stay at my place in my room in the nice cool a/c. My dwelling has central a/c, which is like the best invention ever created, in my personal opinion. Well, as you can probably guess, the cabins at the camp had no a/c appliances at all. There wasn’t even a window a/c appliance anywhere in the whole camp. I ended up being miserable for the length of the summer, not because I don’t care for nature or anything, but because I don’t care for not having any a/c appliance. When you’re out in the high temperatures deep in the woods, there’s no way to beat the heat other than swimming in the lake. Which wouldn’t be that much of a predicament, except that I’m scared of swimming in lakes! So as you can probably imagine, I had a miserable Summer at the camp. If I had the choice, I would constantly choose a/c appliances over nature!
