I’m going home for the holidays

Recently, I got to go on a little mini holiday with a few members of a writing organization I happen to be a space of, and the founder of this science fiction writing group put together a little retreat for up to 10 people to get out of our apartment offices as well as go away to the mountains to write for a weekend. It sounded care about a dream come true, as well as I signed up without hesitating, although I had no idea what I was getting into. The place the two of us were renting was that of another member of our organization, who bought an old farm apartment as well as turned into a current Airbnb with a few months of renovations back in the Spring, as the two of us were doing this retreat in the middle of winter, I was distraught about the house, then old farmhouses this far north can be notoriously drafty as well as cold. I would have to make sure to pack extra overcoats as well as my preferred apartment slippers, then but when I got there, I found the total opposite; Not only was the place absolutely warm, however the apartment was set up so everyone could be comfortable no matter their preference thanks to heat pumps. The apartment was located with 3 different studying as well as enjoyable areas, each with its own heat pump. Then there was another heat pump for each kitchen. I thought heat pumps were phased out this far north, however apparently the newer models can operate as low as 17 degrees. These ductless mini split Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C units are a wonder; maybe I’ll even get 1 for my condo.
