Each time I walk into the garage or around the perimeter of my beach house, I say a prayer. My heating and air conditioning is getting seriously antiquated. But, I need one more full year of service before I can afford to update it. I have been saving for the past three years for a new heating and cooling unit. I just need to limp by one more year. The heating and air conditioning tech was out to do one of the semi annual service calls. I asked his if he thought the heating and air conditioning component would hold up for another year. He grinned, however was totally non-committal. Who could blame him? I just needed some hollow assurance the ancient heating and air Conditioning would stagger through another year. The heating and cooling maintenance pro did state that while one year of service was possible, anymore would be inadvisable. Looking for further hollow assurance, I hit the internet. Probably a terrible idea although I simply couldn’t help myself. I wrote down any signs of imminent heating and air conditioning failure. Higher energy bills was on the list; that is undoubtedly the case in my situation. The heating and air conditioning shaking was listed as a sure sign. I went outside to watch my condenser unit. Surely, that had to be a weird sight as I was poised to notice anything irregular. Passed that one, thankfully. Our heating and air conditioning appears to run more than I remember, however it is not running constantly, so it could be worse. The heating and air conditioning hasn’t tripped the breaker or produced any loud noises so, that is a fantastic sign. Finally, my trooper of a gas furnace and air conditioning component has always turned when prompted. So, maybe the heating and cooling component will make it another year. But, I’m still offering up the prayers to be safe.
