I used to task a task in retail, and I found the whole experience to be exhausting. I had a difficult time wanting to interact with people socially after dealing with agitated buyers all morning long, which is a big reason why I sought a new task. I didn’t want it to interfere with our social life outside of work. I hear similar complaints from other people who have worked in retail positions, and the amount of client repair horror stories out there is insane. But there are also plenty of bad client repair experiences that stem from the employee’s fault, not the customer’s. When client repair representatives are in a bad mood, it’s unpleasant for most people involved… During our last trip to our bank, I was glad to not deal with any of those problems. I was honestly shocked about what a pleasant experience it was! The bank had an incredibly comfortable atmosphere, with their AC cooling the waiting room to a enjoyable temperature. Their a/c worked so well I honestly found myself dozing off I was so comfortable! Their nice, cozy seats also helped to play a space there, not just the AC. The air quality was just so superb. The air was nicely scented and easy to breathe, which I learned was from an whole-home air purifier in the lobby. There was a water cooler and restroom actually available, and a vending component in case you wanted a snack while waiting. All of the representatives were amazingly kind and helpful, even though it was near the end of the task morning when they’ve likely been handling buyers all morning, and they entirely made myself and others know like a valued customer. While I might not do well in client service, it’s clearly an substantial field and I’m glad to have had such great representatives taking care of our needs.
