I was good with the furnace

I told our Mom that our hubby and I were looking into heat pumps for our Couples Retreat Shed, and he provided me such a lecture! He thought that if we got a heat pump, it would be totally useless where we live. Well, a few years ago he would have been right, but now times are changed, but still, I understand where he’s coming from, so I just took a breath on the cellphone and let him get it all out of his system. The main point he kept getting back to was the chopping point for a lot of people with heat pumps several years ago–the operating temperature. Back then, a heat pump was only nice to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. After that, anything colder and it just wouldn’t work. Instead of bringing in nice hot air, it would bring in luke moderate air. Fortunately, recent advances in Heating and AC technology have made heat pumps far better than ever before; Not only can this weeks heat pumps derive energy from the water or the ground, and the air, but they can do so in uneven temperatures as low as 17 degrees! That’s incredible, especially considering the difference of 23 degrees just several years ago; Once I explained to our Mom that the technology was so much more advanced and it would run just that low, he was relieved and totally supportive. He’s even going to provide us some cash towards the heat pumps as our Christmas gift this year. I can’t wait to have the Couples Retreat Shed totally heated, so I can write and he can read, without the adolescents screaming every several hours.
