Just about everything these mornings seems to be connected. Connected in the sense that there is someway that it can be controlled by the internet, then as a salesman for a local appliance store, it is crucial that I understand this new technology inside and out. I had the opportunity to attend the annual technology trade show this year and I was blown away by the possibilities, then what very got me was how the diagnostics on these new appliances could be done. You don’t even have to have a worker come to the condo for the most space to see what is wrong with your refrigerator, stove, washer, or even your Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. These units can be inspected, in several cases however remotely connected them to your Wi-Fi system. If there are physical repairs that need to be done, a worker can come to your condo with the parts needed instead of checking it, ordering the parts, and then coming back to do the repairs. This is awesome because people are tied up and don’t always have the time for many appointments. I now go into sales calls with this in mind. I suddenly assess our shoppers and determine if I should go high tech or traditional in our sales pitch. It is wonderful to be able to offer exactly what they are looking for. Younger shoppers, in particular, want everything to be straight-forward to operate and program. They don’t want to have the hassle of checking things on a yearly basis or remembering when to call for service. A programmable appliance or Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system is perfect for their lifestyles.
