I’m a single guy, which is fine, but sometimes when I have something urgent happens, it can make things more of an emergency than it has to be.
Last week, my furnace stopped working, and it brought me to a panic.
A broken furnace is not something I needed right in the middle of winter. If I couldn’t get the furnace working soon, my pipes would be frozen by the morning. The only thing I could do was call a Heating, Ventilation and A/C repair guy to have them fix furnace. Thankfully, the Heating, Ventilation and A/C guy told me that he’d be able to repair the furnace in a few hours. Thank goodness, I thought I was going to have to worry about my pipes freezing over. The trouble with being single is that I am the only one who could let the Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker in when he arrived. With this being said, I was going to have to call out of work, and I’m an hourly employee. This means I’d have less money to pay the Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman for fixing the furnace. It didn’t really matter because I needed to do it. I waited for the Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker to get there around lunch. I was eager to get my furnace running. The guy said he’d be here around lunchtime, so when he didn’t show, I got nervous. I called the Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker, with no answer. I continued waiting for the rest of the day for the guy from the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company to show, but he never came. I missed an entire day of pay for this, and he never came! Now I have to call another Heating, Ventilation and A/C company to ensure that the work gets done and miss out on another days pay!
