Ever since we moved into our house about a year ago, we’ve been having the same problem in our master bathroom. The faucet in the tub has a leak, and no matter what we do to try and repair the leaky faucet ourselves, it just refuses to work. We’ve tried all kinds of DIY fixes, and we’ve even watched a couple of plumbing channels on YouTube, but to no avail. We just couldn’t get that annoying faucet to stop leaking. Finally, we called our local plumbing contractor whose office is just across town. They scheduled someone to come out and inspect our faucet for us and hopefully get it fixed. The day that the plumber came, the faucet was leaking even more than it usually did! I was actually glad, because the plumber would be able to see exactly what he was up against! He brought all of his tools with him into the master bathroom and put them on the floor next to the bathtub. Then the plumber proceeded to take apart the faucet. He messed around for a few minutes with the valves and the faucet handles. Then he turned on the cold water faucet. Next he turned on the hot water faucet. Then he turned them both on at the same time. After that, he stood up and said that the leak was fixed. I couldn’t believe that what we had not been able to repair in almost a year, this plumber had managed to fix in the span of about five minutes! I guess that’s why they get paid the big bucks!
