My wife and I got married about 5 years ago, and we bought a small house with just two bedrooms. At the time, neither one of us were ready for children. The small house was big enough for both of us, but small enough for visitors to stay only a few days. When my wife found out that she was pregnant, we contemplated moving into a larger place. My wife and I had done so much work on the interior of our home, that neither one of us wanted to leave. My wife suggested hiring a contractor, and building a nursery off our master bedroom. We had plenty of room to build the nursery, and I loved the idea. We hired a contractor to help with the lavish project. When the contractor wanted to talk about Heating and Cooling the room, we already had something in mind. My wife wanted radiant heat in the nursery. We read about radiant heating mats that can be placed under the carpet. These radiant heating mats are electric, and can be easily installed by a Layman. The contractor was intrigued with our radiant heating mat idea, and offered to contact a few HVAC contractors for additional information. A few days later, we met with an HVAC contractor and discussed our ideas for radiant heating. The HVAC contractor was happy to provide us with some samples of electric heating mats. Although they were more bulky than we had anticipated, they were perfect for our project. The HVAC contractor worked along with our building contractor, and the nursery was completed a few months before our daughter was born.
