When I started my current job as a paralegal downtown last week, I never dreamed that I would have to start buying a whole current wardrobe because of it. I mean, I already had a lot of corporation clothing and corporation casual type suits and dresses, but that’s not what I’m talking about… My complication is that all of the clothing that I already own just isn’t moderate enough to wear inside the building that my office is located in! You might think that I’m exaggerating, but the service team in the office building just has no clue what they are doing when it comes to managing the heating and a/c in our office building. I think I’m going to freeze to death on a yearly basis because of the a/c vents that are over my head in the ceiling of the office. It’s entirely ridiculous. No office should have their a/c set that low on their thermostat device. I asked my manager about it and he said that the office is always cold and that he has no control over the a/c, however he says that he doesn’t entirely even have access to the thermostat control plan – it’s something that the service office has to deal with. I’ve called service a dozen times, but the office still isn’t heating up at all. I’ve all but given up and decided to start buying moderate clothing instead. And maybe I’ll buy myself a little space gas furnace to park right next to my desk while I’m at it, too.
