Each and every afternoon I attempt to make sure that I get a brief bit of exercise in, due to the fact that my work requires that I be seated at my desk all afternoon. So, if I don’t manage the morning jog, I do try to hit the gym in the later evening. I really like the morning jogs because they wake me up so much, however on some days it’s just entirely too frigid to go outside and run around. On the days like that, I take shelter in the gym because it’s actually climate controlled, and being able to exercise with the heating system going is awesome when it’s ice cold outside. I’m actually constantly thankful that I keep my gym membership current, since without it I don’t think I’d be able to keep up with my exercise in the wintertime at all. I suppose I could by a home-treadmill so that I could run laps inside with my own heat running, but the truth is that I don’t want to have to use my only extra area to store workout equipment. Staying fit requires plenty of thought ahead because I usually get so wrapped up in my work and personal life that it’s almost forgotten entirely by the end of the day. But still, I think I’ve kept up a good attitude these past two years, and as long as there’s a place with a heating system to workout inside when it gets cold, I know I’ll be just fine! It’s not exactly straight-forward to maintain a normal routine when the temperatures drop to freezing, however I’m willing to put in some extra effort when I need it.
