Getting too massive of Heating & A/C equipment

I made a mistake when I bought my Heating & A/C equipment.

I did no research & did not consult with any Heating & A/C companies except for the a single I hired.

The Heating & A/C supplier came in, measured my new home & then quoted myself and others a price. I blindly paid & got my heating & cooling idea put in. Now that I have had the Heating & A/C for over a year, I realize that I messed up. I have an Heating & A/C unit that is too big. What some Heating & A/C companies do is rule of thumb. They take a loose measurement of your new home & then pad up the numbers for human error. My Heating & A/C corporation entirely padded them up & provided myself and others a much too substantial unit. It was more of a commission rate for him, so that is why he pushed myself and others into it! Having too massive of a unit is not good, it wastes so much energy. The Heating & A/C achieves the temperature on the thermostat super quick. It fully powers on & off many times a day. It runs full blast & then totally shuts down. It takes a lot of power to do this & as a result, my energy bills are skyhigh. I can hardly pay for heating & cooling because of it. If the Heating & A/C was the right size, it would be a steady stream of heating & air at half the cost, but, now I am stuck with what I bought. It is expensive buying new Heating & A/C. I also don’t guess how to make the substantial Heating & A/C run effective for my small house.
