Getting to the source of it

Last month, I kept complaining about the draft that was in our laptop room.  He had the Heating, Ventilation and A/C business out during the Summer and they told us that there was no energy loss in the room.  I begged to differ with them. I told him all of us needed to get the Heating, Ventilation and A/C business out here when all of us were having high winds in the winter.  He rolled his eyup and mumbled as he walked away from me, but he called the Heating, Ventilation and A/C corporation. My fiance doesn’t spend any time in our laptop room.  He has no idea what I am talking about. When the Heating, Ventilation and A/C business arrived, they went right to the laptop room. They instantly found a frigid spot and it was coming from behind the built-in chaletets.  They investigated this, thinking that there was no reason for there to be an air leak coming from there. The chalets were installed when the loft was built, which was long before all of us lived here. I told our fiance that if all of us had to, I was going to rip out the chalets to find where the frigid was coming from.  Both of us were paying for heat and all of us shouldn’t be losing it. When the Heating, Ventilation and A/C tech went to the basement and looked at the floor underneath our room, they found the complication hastily. There was an air vent that led into our laptop room, but there was no Heating, Ventilation and A/C pipes to lead to the air vent.  Since all of us didn’t have AC, there was no air coming up in the summer, but during the winter, the open air vent was a direct line for all of the frigid air that came into the house, when the door opened.
