Getting a helping hand

Snow is falling and the air is still.  It looks like a snowglobe outside and I am very thankful that I can sit and watch it all from my home office window.  I am really fortunate to have landed a job as a medical transcriptionist that allows me to handle the accounts from home.  Not only do I have the ability to be here when the kids get home from school but I don’t have to leave and deal with a messy commute each day.  We have meetings twice a month that I need to attend but other than that my whole job is done online. When I first got the job we made a few changes to the house that included adding a separate zone in the room I use for an office space.  Now, I can still lower the rest of the heat to save money as if the house is empty, all while keeping my office warm and toasty. I even bought my own coffee pot so it is like having a real workplace. The added HVAC equipment was a tax write off because it was a business expense and that was a huge plus too.  I used to hate the winter because I had to drive in the snow and freezing weather. Now, I actually enjoy it. I even took the kids ice skating last weekend and we loved the experience. I was cold while we were there but knew that our warm and cozy home would be waiting for us when we got home. Having a quality HVAC system makes all the difference when it comes to that.
