I have never been a budget conscious lady or very thrifty. As soon as I had my first job and my own income I spent my money impulsively. I enjoyed eating out instead of cooking at home, except sometimes dinner. Supper and dinner would be from a fast food restaurant all the time. I also loved to shop and take random vacations. In one weekend, I wouldn’t think twice about going shopping for new things or to take on a trip to the beach or coast. I spend money freely on jewelry and weekly trips to the nail and hair salon. The one section that I didn’t think was important to invest in,was for everyday practical things. For example our HVAC system. However, I just purchased a new apartment and my HVAC plan is now going to be of big importance. I love to spend money on things that are convenient and I don’t like to be uncomfortable so taking care of our heating and air plan makes perfect sense. I l received a call from my local HVAC repair specialist reminding me that neglecting your HVAC plan is dangerous. A failing HVAC plan does more than cost a lot of money to repair; it also can endanger people in the home. For instance, if the gas furnace develops a crack in the heat exchanger, carbon monoxide gas can get out plus poison the air you inhale. Electric HVAC systems can develop a short circuit, which is a harsh fire hazard if left untouched. I haven’t completely changed my spending habits but I’ve included having my heating plan worked on before the winter season plus the cooling plan cleaned and evaluated just after Springtime.
