Condensation problems

I live in a part of the country that isn’t friendly to basements.  The indoor component of our Heating as well as A/C system sits in our garage.  I hardly ever park in the garage because it is full of bikes plus interesting equipment.  So, I’m not in the garage usually. When I came lake apartment from work, I noticed water seeping from under the garage door.  I went in the garage to see a important puddle of water across the whole garage floor. My first thought was a busted pipe. But after inspection, I ruled that out.  I then noticed that the source of the small puddle was the inside component of the heating plus cooling system. I could see a downfall of water coming from under the Heating as well as A/C unit.  I grabbed my trusty flashlight to check for the problem. After that, I turned off the air conditioner plus turned off the power to the Heating as well as A/C component. I had a terrible feeling that the Heating as well as A/C plan had a condensation concern.  Condensation occurs when hot air meets chilly evaporator coils. Typically, this is drained out the condensate drain line. I removed the access panel on the Heating as well as A/C unit. I had the desire to inspect the drain pan. I finally got a nice look at the drain pan.  It was fairly wet however was not full of water. I was stumped. I took a better look at the Heating as well as A/C drain pan. It was annoying to see however there was clearly a long crack along the middle. The drain pan was not catching any water. It was leaking water from the condensation.  I rang the Heating as well as A/C pros plus they said I could try to maintenance with epoxy. I tried however it wouldn’t hold. I called the Heating as well as A/C pros again plus planned out a time for them to come out to replace the drain pan.
