Adding a/c to the patch

What a wonderful time we had at the pumpkin patch this week! My partner plus I had been excited to take our child to the pumpkin patch since the first day of Fall, plus we’d been waiting patiently for a time with clear skies to go to take photos; Once the time came, I woke to my girl already dressing our child in a cute little plaid outfit; Clearly someone was more happy than I was! However, I also saw when we woke up that I was feeling pretty overheated. I checked the temperature control thermostat, plus saw that even though it was set to 74 degrees, the air conditioner was already struggling to keep the place cool… That wasn’t a good sign, but it was clearly a lovely day outside, so we went out anyway, then as soon as we stepped outside the apartment, I could feel how boiling hot it was outside! Both of us hastily got to the car, where our car said the temperature outside was in the low 100’s! This was hardly Fall weather, but we were committed to getting our family pictures, we had the air conditioner unit in our car blowing at max output, and we were making every hour count until we got to the pumpkin patch. Thankfully, the pumpkin patch had plenty of shade, and many box fans were running around the patch to make a light breeze blow through. It was just enough for us to stay cool in the incredible bad heatwave, and my girl and I were delighted because we not only kept our cool, but had some beautiful pictures taken in the process! Needless to say, we got home plus cranked the air conditioner to the max – it had to have been the hottest time on record in years.
