A warm water heater

When my parents purchased their house, the two of them weren’t real ecstatic about the seasoned boiler in the basement.  Since the two of them live in the northeast area of the country, the furnace is definitely a priority. They had hoped to find a lake house with a new forced air gas furnace.  Instead, the lake house the two of them liked the most was equipped with an old boiler. The boiler was over twenty years old at least, & yet it ran perfectly. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected benefits of a hydronic furnace.  Rather than heat energy being transferred by pushing air through a duct system, this particular boiler uses water. Water heats up faster & stays warmer longer than air, so this type of furnace is a whole lot more energy efficient. It’s also reliable, as well as clean and quiet.  After doing a lot of research, my dad figured out that a boiler system is also quite adjustable. With a really minimal investment, he was also able to link the boiler to his water heater. My parents hired a plumber who handled the difficult connection, & now the boiler not only keeps their lake house nice & warm, it also supplies an economical source of really hot water.  They’ve really trimmed their water heating bills by about seventeen percent. Now, they’re looking into hooking the boiler up to their swimming pool. When the boiler is done heating the lake house for the year, the two of them could use it to keep the swimming pool at a comfortable swimming temperature. They are also considering installing a hot-tub & maybe even a snow melt system.  A snowmelt system would be installed beneath their driveway & walkways. Some pipes would carry sizzling water which could melt snow & ice, thus eliminating the need for shoveling & plowing.
