A tough summer internship

This summer my mom and dad were determined to get me out of the house.

For the past few summers I have gotten into the bad habit of staying indoors wherever there is air conditioning rather than being active outside.

One day after school was let out for the summer my parents told me that they were going to have me partake in a summer internship with my father. My dad is a certified HVAC repair tech for a living, and if you know anything about me you know that doing this type of work is not my type of skill set. I have never been able to fix a machine in my life and I don’t like working with my hands. I have always been the type of person that would much rather pay someone else to handle taking care of these things. My parents thought that it would be a great way for me to stay active during the summer and learn some life skills unfortunately, so I had no other choice but to begin my internship at the HVAC store. By the time that my first week was over I was so sick and tired of having to work and learn at the HVAC store that I started to act sick in the mornings to trick my parents into not making me go. This summer sure is starting to drag my longer than I could have ever imagined and I am surprisingly finding myself missing the days full of school and basketball practice where there was no time for work down at the HVAC store.
