I was in the hospital recently, to visit a friend. She had been put in the hospital because she had pneumonia. I was really worried about her because I had recently been to visit her. When I arrived, she was cocooned in blankets from chin to toe. She told me she was so cold so was shivering. I thought the room was quite comfortable and I was worried that she was still running a temperature. Fifteen minutes later, she threw the blankets off while complaining that it was now too warm. I had recently taken my coat off, and I didn’t notice a big difference, but I did notice that I was now deliciously warm. I moved over by the window, where her bed was, and I could feel the heat of the sun coming through the window. I could feel the heat coming off the heater. It was so hot and dry that it made my eyes water. Now I could understand why it was so warm for her. Two minutes later, the heater turned off and there was a cool air that was coming from the heater. You could feel the winter cold coming off the windows. I immediately lowered the blinds and closed the curtains. My friend wanted to see the outside, but the cold coming from the heater and off the windows, was outrageous. Two minutes later, the heater turned back on, only to make the room too hot again. She told me that there had been a problem with the heater since she came. Even though she had said something to the nurses, so far, nothing had been done to rectify the heater problem.
