I like my pets but finding the best temperature in my home has been an issue. It seems the cats enjoy being a little warmer than the dogs. I try to find a balance so everyone is comfortable although I failed. Instead of giving up, talked to a local HVAC contractor. He recommended I install a ductless furnace with central air upgrades, after answering a few questions about my aging forced air cooling unit plus oil furnace system. He was staunch in his suggestion. After hanging up from him, I did a little research on my own. I didn’t realize just how much I would love what I found. I found that a ductless heating and cooling system would allow us to cool individual rooms in our home. I wouldn’t be using any of the existing HVAC ductwork in my home because it would all be controlled by individual units attached to the walls of those rooms. I also didn’t realize I would have many inner home units attached to 1 outside unit. It seemed delightful. It sounded like a really efficient setup. So then I called the heating and cooling contractor back to schedule an appointment. However, when he arrived to install the updated ductless HVAC system, I watched every move, wondering if I’d made the right choice. The heating and cooling contractor must have sensed how apprehensive I was feeling, because he took the time to give all of us some tips on how to operate the upgraded ductless heating and air conditioning units, plus what to expect. He also explained to us how the new climate control equipment would lower the utility bills in every season. As I pondered it further, I realized he was right. I would be able to heat or cool only the rooms we occupied, plus not risk burning out my central air unit or oil furnace throughout the year. After a few weeks of having my new ductless HVAC units installed, I found pet temperature balance.
