A/C travel woes

Traveling for work is something that I have come to really dread. I used to enjoy having an excuse to get away from town for a few days, but now I get really exhausted by my journeys. I only have to take a work trip about once a month, but all of the time in airports and standing in rental car lines wears me down. The worst part of it all is having to adapt to the A/C situations. In the airport, I have found that the cooling system is always running at too high of a speed. I get cold easily because the temperatures there are too low for my liking. This makes it difficult when I have a long layover or a delay on my flight. A couple of times over the past year, I have ended up in rental cars that had faulty air conditioners. I think this was just a string of poor luck, but, still, that was a huge inconvenience for me. By the time I made it to my hotel from the airport both times, I was covered in sweat and had very little energy left to get any work done. If not for the A/C inconveniences that I have dealt with while traveling, I don’t know that I would be so put off by the idea of it. However, those handful of incidents have changed my way of thinking. I really wish that I could limit my traveling to just a couple of times per year, but I don’t see that becoming an option anytime soon.
